Crossroads
Room 115 _ 9:00AM
(All ages)
Led by Tim Larson, Bob Parsons and David Koch
Crossroads is an active, diverse group of people eager to study the Word and to act on our faith by helping each other and our community.
Our overriding theme is “maturing in our Christian faith.” Our teachers help us see and understand God’s truth as applied to our lives, but also to the world around us. Just as we are stimulated to read the Word regularly during the week, so too our prayers for each other in class are just a touchpoint to the regular prayer and support we provide each other during the week.
It’s the “church without walls” that interests us, and you can see that we are more than just a one-hour-a-week group in our various ministries and activities:
- Dinner For Eight: Who doesn’t like dinner? Fellowship around a meal with 8 class members. Re-shuffled every 6 months.
- Class events: Some traditions are the Class Progressive Dinner, Summer Pool Party, Fall Bonfire at a local park, and Family Camping Weekends.
- Service Projects: We regularly help with Feed My Starving Children, Samaritan’s Purse, Christmas Caroling at local Care Centers, and special needs among the class families.
- Desserts for Newcomers: We host small dessert nights for newcomers to our class to connect with a few members of the class.
- Men's/Woman's activities: Individuals are starting to create an activity night for just the woman or men, such as the women’s prayer journal project. Other ideas being considered are a miniature golf tournament, bowling, table game night, rug making, dinner cruise, and others.
Beyond Crossroads, Berean offers many other activities and group studies that our class members participate in for individual growth and encouragement.
